The Acorn:

A Ranch/Farm Combination

The Acorn is an established operation that uses HydroCor to create a perfect water balance for horses, cattle (roping steers, etc.), chickens, working dogs and even in the Home, for personal consumption.

Even the vegetable garden benefits from HydroCor. Once the 3 step process is complete, HydroCor is able to benefit the health of every living entity, be it human or animal.

El Toro Land & Cattle Co.:

Feedlot

El Toro is a large business that operates on the premise of helping cattle gain weight efficiently (Feed Conversion Efficiency). Feedlots rely on their ability to produce animals of quality that attract buyers from around the country, and it is HydroCor's mission to assist in this endeavor. By providing perfectly balanced, disinfected water, HydroCor has improved health, weight gain, and herd quality, and decreased monetary expenditures in the form of vet bills, treatment. In essence, HydroCor lets these animals use nutrients to grow, instead of fighting off water borne disease. We are proud of our results in assisting ranches of all sizes and shapes!

Case Study: The influence of a water quality supplement on growth performance, feed efficiency, and health of feedlot cattle.

ABSTRACT: Water quality is rarely assessed in applied beef cattle studies. As an essential nutrient, water is imperative for growth performance and health of feedlot cattle. Thus, the objective of this study was to assess the influence of a water quality supplement on growth performance, feed efficiency, and health of feedlot cattle.

Water is an essential nutrient that aids in growth, metabolism, digestion, and temperature regulation (NRC, 2016). In the United States, beef cattle consume approximately 760 billion liters of water per year (Beckett and Oltjen, 1993). However, the effects of water quality on cattle performance are rarely evaluated. Water intake may be reduced if water quality is decreased because cattle are sensitive to the taste and odor of water (Willms et al., 1996). Water intake, ADG, and DMI was improved in steers when consuming well water that used reverse osmosis to improve water quality (Sexson et al., 2010).

Grape Trials:

Vineyard

Cabernet Varietal (Mendocino Appellation), 2014

The use of HydrCor (OB50) for Cabernet Grapes in California has proven to be very beneficial to the operation. The vineyard has been a customer of ours for 3 years. This Wine Grape Trial using our protocol has produced some very interesting results. The trial project succeeded in establishing a unique 12,320-vine vineyard trial of a 25 year old Cabernet varietal in Mendocino Country (Mendocino Appellation), 12 miles South of Ukiah, located along the Russian River. 6,160 vines (11 acres) were used as the trial block and 6,160 vines were used as the control block.

Results: The 2014 growing season to date has disclosed interesting comparative differences between the control and trial blocks …

• Robust canopy appearance resulting from enhanced leaf turgidity

• Fruit set differential (Control Block =70% < 5mm in dia., Trial block = 70% 7-10mm in dia. @ 6 weeks from budbreak)

• Fruit Set – bunches were noted to be approximate 1.5” longer in the trial block. Tendrils at the cane extremities were noted to be 3” – 5” long in the trial block as compared to 1” – 2” in the control block.

Additional results:

• Reduction in counts of Nematodes and Phylloxera

• Continued unmitigated functioning of the emitters and drip irrigation system

• Lack of powdery mildew and no noticeable leaf hoppers mites or sharp shooters.

Rancho Teresita:

Calf Ranch

TRIAL: 1,400 Calves,  0 - 65 days:

Eliminated persistent Myco Plasma resulting in little or no recurrence. If there was a recurrence, the individual responded almost immediately and no further treatment was needed.

Death loss was reduced from 4% to less than .5%.

Days 0-20:

  • Calves consistently gain 1lb, per day, per calf.

Days 20 - 65:

  • Calves gain 1.75lb to 2.25lb, per day, per calf.

All accomplished within 90 days of initiating HydroCor water treatment of High pH, High Sodium & SAR and High Hardness source water.
